FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

  • Based in Karachi
  • CMA or CA. CFA Certification is a plus
  • 6-8 years of working experience as a Finance Professional

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our growing team in Karachi.

This position will oversee the financial operations of the organization in Pakistan, UAE and USA while assisting in assessing potential investment opportunities and fund-raising.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for Statutory Reporting in accordance with financial reporting framework including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Accounting Standards (IAS), Companies Ordinance 1984 and GAAP.
  • Planning and maintenance of budgets including analysis of budgets with actual results to perform variance analysis.
  • Responsible for the Risk Management of the organization with established protocols.
  • Undertake market study to formulate investment strategy. Identify and advice on potential investment opportunities.
  • Supervise monthly payroll.
  • Responsible for the Tax Planning of the company and being abreast with all implications of Direct and Indirect taxes applicable on the product & industry. Also monitor the preparation of monthly statements for Tax Declaration.
  • Responsible for Treasury and Finance function for cash management, cash projections and reporting.
  • Involved in co-ordination with banks for optimum utilization of banking facilities to maintain business operating cycle.
  • Co-ordination with Lawyers for Legal affairs & Principal Agreements.
  • Development for New reports / SOP / Manuals for the improvement of Management Reporting and Control Process to improve the quality of information for decision making.
  • Mentor, motivate and lead the finance team by providing them opportunity to grow.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of financial modeling and international finance and accounting standards.
  • Knowledge of corporate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of audit requirement and internal controls.
  • Knowledge of Risk Analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision making.
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail.
